Sleep is important. So important that we spend (or should spend) 1/3 of our lives doing it. So many things can influence sleep, making it better or worse.
Several simple tips for better sleep:
- Keep your room colder, somewhere in the 60’s
- Use only dim lamp light after the sun goes down
- Don’t eat big meals close to bed time
- Don’t eat sugar close to bed time
- Value sleep more than the comfort of your pets; if they are in your bed and it is at all disturbing, get them into their own bed
- Keep your room as dark as you can, ambient light will keep your brain stimulated
- Read your books in paperback vs. electronic format
